Korean War Veteran
Thank You for visiting Dr. Shelby Mayo. Your kindness is so very appreciated. God bless.
Rev. Dr. Shelby Mayo was the son of Charles and Alva Fairchild Mayo born on May 15, 1932 in Louisa, Lawrence County, Kentucky. He married Stella Perry on June 6, 1953 in Wayne, West Virginia. They had 4 children. The the eldest child living in Ohio, then one child has now since passed, one child living in New Zealand, and the youngest child living in Texas.
Bro. Mayo and his wife were saved the same night in 1958 at a tent revival meeting at Branch Hill Baptist Church. They were called to the service of our Lord in 1968 into the mission field while Bro. Mayo was a minister at the Maineville Baptist Church. He and Stella served in the mission fields of Indonesia, Singapore, New Zealand, and Hawaii. He served the Lord in mission work for approximately 42 years.
Bro. Mayo was the minister who lead me to the Lord Jesus Christ in my parents home when I was 7 years old when he was the paster of the Maineville Baptist Church in Maineville, Ohio. He was good and kind, but firm. He was truly a faithful man of God. He showed countless souls how to be saved and follow in the footsteps of our Lord Jesus Christ. He is truly loved and missed.
Shelby Mayo

May Bro. Mayo rest in the loving peace of our Lord Jesus Christ and rejoice forever in the presence of our Savior.
"That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
"For God sent not his son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved."
John 3:15-17
