Mrs. Joseph Budnik, 87, of 1124 S. 19th St., Manitowoc, died Sunday evening at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc, after a lingering illness.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Leschke and Bergner Funeral Home and at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Rt. Rev. Msgr. John S. Landowski will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery.
The former Veronica Norkosky was born Oct. 25, 1879, at Manitowoc, daughter of the late George and Marcella Konieczka Norkosky. She was married to Joseph Budnik in June, 1896, at Manitowoc. Her husband preceded her in death in 1935.
Survivors include four sons, Felix, Alois and Victor of Mantiowoc and Benjamin, of Milwaukee; five daughters, Mrs. Matt Dempsky, Mrs. Donald Madigan and Mrs. Leo Kaufman, of Manitowoc, Mrs. Victor Koehler, of Two Rivers and Mrs. Leo Boettcher, of Milwaukee; a brother, George, of Manitowoc; a sister, Mrs. Martin Bonk, of Manitowoc; 21 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. Six sisters and a brother preceded her in death.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Tuesday where the Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m.
