Mrs. Ella Dempsky, 85, of 1911 Marshall St, Manitowoc, died Monday evening, June 28, at the residence of her son and daughter-in-law, Marcel J. and Mary Dempsky of 2003 Richmond Ave., Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be 930 a.m. Thursday at Pfeffer Funeral Home and 10 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Harold Berryman and burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Dempsky, nee Ella Budnik, was born April 8, 1897, at Manitowoc, daughter of the late Joseph and Veronica Norkosky Budnik. She was married to Mathew Dempsky, April 22, 1917, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Manitowoc. He preceded her in death Feb. 2, 1948. She was a member of the Rosary and Altar Society of St. Mary Catholic Church, and a member of the Senior Citizens of Manitowoc.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Marcel and Mary Dempsky of Manitowoc, and Clarence and Joyce Dempsky of Elmhurst, Ill.; four brothers, Felix Budnik, Alois Budnik, and Victor Budnik of Manitowoc, and Ben Budnick of Port Charlotte, Fla.; three sisters, Mrs. Victor (Celia) Koehler of Two Rivers, Mrs. Leo (Susan) Kaufman of Manitowoc, and Mrs. Leo (Eleanor) Boettcher of Milwaukee; and four grandchildren, Beth Leist, Mary Jean Haley, John Dempsky, and Mark Alan Dempsky. She was preceded in death by brothers and sisters.
Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday where the Rosary will be recited at 3:30 p.m. by the Rosary and Altar Society of St. Mary Catholic Church. A prayer service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.
