Parents: Thomas and Mary (Gogan) McBride, both born in Ireland
She was the eldest child. Her siblings were:
Frank (b. 1854)
Mary Ann (b. 1856)
Rose (b. 1857)
Margaret (b. 1860)
The family resided in Angelica and Town of Amity, NY.
Married: Jan. 3, 1878 (or perhaps Jan. 1, 1877?)
Resided: Rixford, PA 1879-1897
The Onsels had a dry goods store there, which they ran along with Bridget's father. The deed to their home in Rixford was in Bridget's name. Talking with a local historian, I learned that it was a common practice there to have the home in the name of the wife so that the husband could not lose it gambling in a card game!
Resided: Fostoria and Risingsun, Ohio, circa 1898-1908
Her obituary stated that, "Mrs. Onsel had been a resident of this place (Risingsun) for a number of years, but being a great lover of home she was well known to but few. But by those who knew her she was held in the highest of esteem."
She was survived by her brother, Frank, and a sister, Mrs. Frank Buckley of Hazelhurst, PA. Around May 24,1907, Bridget attended the funeral of a sister in "Horanldeville," New York (possibly Hornellsville).

First cousin once-removed: Lorena Steller Flinn, daughter of Louisa Lyman Steller Gormay.
Mrs. Frank Buckley may be Margaret Buckley. From looking at the US Censuses from 1910, 1920, and 1930, we see that a Margaret Buckley first married at age 21, gave birth to a child who was still living in 1910, married a second time in 1903 to Mr. Buckley, and noted that both of her parents were born in Northern Ireland.
