KROLL, Anton Joseph — Aged 73. Former Rahr Malting company employe died at 8:30 o’clock Friday morning after year’s illness. Retired five years ago. Lived at 1130 South 26th street. Survived by widow, four sons, two daughters, three brothers, two sisters. Body to be removed from Shimek & Schwartz funeral parlors to residence Saturday at 5 p.m. Funeral Tuesday 8:30 a.m. at residence, 9 o’clock St. Mary’s church. Burial in St. Mary’s cemetery.

Former Rahr Employe Dies Today; Funeral On Tuesday


Anton Joseph Kroll, 73, former employe of the Rahr Malting company, died at 8:30 o’clock this morning after a year’s illness. He retired five years ago.

Mr. Kroll was born in Germany June 13, 1862 and came to this country 53 years ago. He made Manitowoc his home for the last 35 years and at the time of his death he resided at 1130 S. 25th street. Forty-four years ago he married Rose Pionski.

Survivors are the widow; two daughters, Mrs. A. T. Seibel, Long Beach, Cal., and Miss Florence Kroll, city; four sons, Frank and George of Torrence, Cal., Leo of Milwaukee and Anton of this city; three brothers, Frank in Germany, Mike of Detroit and John of Marquette, Mich., and two sisters, Mrs. Thela Balcherski of Germany and Mrs. Katie Jacinski of Marquette, Mich.

The body will be removed to the residence from the Shimek and Schwartz funeral parlors Saturday afternoon at 5 o’clock. Funeral services will be held at the home Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. and at 9 o’clock at St. Mary’s church. Burial will be in St. Mary’s cemetery.
