Louis Alexander Lehman and Philomena Bovette are his parent. He married on 15 Jun 1909 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Bear Creek to Maude Agnes Malliet (sister to his brother's William's wife,Mary Ella).

"Charles W. Lehman Sr., 82, of Family Heritage Nursing Home, Manitowoc, died Monday evening at Memorial Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Grace Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Keith Haag will officiate and burial will be in Knollwood Memorial Gardens, Town of Kossuth.

"Mr. Lehman was born Oct. 21, 1890, at Bear Creek, Wis., son of the late Louis and Phoebe Beauvais Lehman. He married Maude Malliet in May 1909. The couple moved to Manitowoc in 1926. She preceded him in death in July, 1937. He married Ella Kohl July 6, 1942. He was a carpenter by trade, retiring in 1955.

"Survivors include his wife, three sons, Elmer, of West Bend, Bernard, of Manitowoc and Charles Fr., of Rt. 2, Reedsville; five daughters, Mrs. Roland (Florence) Raatz, of Rt. 2, Two Rivers, Mrs. Edwin (Alice) Zahn, of Rt. 2, Cato, and Mrs. Joseph (Bernice) Gallenberger, Mrs. Lester (Marcella) Siebold and Mrs. Darrell (Shirley) Waniger, of Manitowoc; 45 grandchildren and 77 great grandchildren. Two sons, a daughter, five brothers and two sisters preceded him in death. A step daughter Mrs. Gerhardt (Dorothy) Schaeffer of West Allis also survives."
