Mrs. Estell Cassler, 66, of 127 Worden St., died at 9:20 AM Saturday at community hospital after an illness of several months. She was born March 2, 1898 in Pulaski County to Samuel and Anna Rice and had lived here for 44 years, coming here from Hebron, Indiana. She was married September 23, 1916 in Kouts to Calvin Cassler and was a member of the First Christian church. Surviving are her husband and one sister, Betty Lafferty of Wheeling, West Virginia. She was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers. Funeral services will be at 2 PM tomorrow at the Essling Funeral home with the Rev. Ralph Richardson officiating. Burial will be in Patton Cemetery. - Laporte Herald-Argus, January 18, 1965.
