Calvin T. Bishop, 83, died Friday night [17 March 1944 - R. A. Post] in the home of a son, Clarence M. Bishop, in the Town of Venice. He was born in the Town of Scipio, but had resided in Venice for 50 years. Surviving are two sons, Clarence M., of Venice, and Tracy A. Bishop of Moravia; two daughters, Mrs. George D. Austin of Syracuse, and Mrs. L. D. Palmer of Venice; four granddaughters, two grandsons, and several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Monday in the house in which he had lived for 46 years. A clergyman from the Seventh Day Adventist Church, Union Springs, will officiate. Burial will be in Genoa Rural Cemetery."
