Margaret "Marguerite" Arnold Bishop was the daughter of Benjamin Adelmore Arnold and Margaret McLaughlin. She was born and raised in the Town of Venice, Cayuga Co., New York. Marguerite married Calvin T. Bishop, son of Augustus Bishop and Sarah Ann Tracy of the adjacent Town of Scipio, in Venice on 25 February 1891. Marguerite and Calvin resided at Venice for the rest of their lives. They had four children: Estelle M. "Stella," Clarence M., Hazel M., and Tracy A. Bishop.
"Venice Woman Dies - The death of Marguerite Arnold, wife of Calvin Bishop, occurred at the family home in Venice, Tuesday, October 2nd, 1923. Mrs. Bishop was 51 years of age and besides her husband, she leaves two daughters, Mrs. Leon Palmer of New Midway, Maryland, Miss Stella Bishop of Venice; and two sons, Clarence and Tracy Bishop, of Venice. Funeral services were held at the late home Thursday afternoon at two o'clock with burial in the Genoa cemetery."
