(1886 - 1954)

Philip F. Hein, 67, of Rt. 3, Manitowoc, retired farmer, died Friday night at the home, following a lingering illness. Funeral services will be held at 9:30 am Tuesday at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc and at 10 am at St. Andrew Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Henry Letz will officiate and burial will be in St. Peter Cemetery.

He was born in 1886 on the homestead farm in the Town of Manitowoc, where he spent his entire life and in 1912 married Miss Elizabeth Trost. He retired four years ago because of failing health. He was a member of the Holy Name Society and Catholic Knights of Wisconsin.

Survivors are his wife; five daughters, Mrs. Howard Schmitz, Mrs. Vernon Kowalski, Mrs. Louis Cerkas of Manitowoc and Martha and Marie at home; six sons, Francis, Bernard and Richard of Manitowoc, Paul and Raymond of Newton and John of Carizozo, N.M.; brother, Peter of Washington D.C., and 17 grandchildren.

Friends may call at the funeral home after ?? where the rosary will be recited at 8 pm Monday.
