Ronald W. Clark, 86, Anderson, passed away December 7, 2013, at his residence after a brief illness.

He was born August 25, 1927, in Anderson, the son of the late Walter and Anna (Jones) Clark. He grew up in Pendleton and graduated in 1945 from Pendleton High School and served in the US Army. Ron had worked as a brick mason and later retired in 1987 from Guide Lamp after 30 years. He was a member of East Lynn Christian Church and a former member of the American Legion. He coached Little League Baseball, Babe Ruth Baseball and Women's Softball. He was a member of the UAW-CIO Local #663 where he served on several committees including the CAP Counsel. He was a union Committeeman, Zone Committeeman and District Shop Committeeman, taught UAW history at the union training center, was editor for 13 years of the Lamp Maker newspaper and was Past-President of the Mid-West Labor Press Association. He was active in the Democrat Party and was the first person to run for Mayor of Anderson as an Independent in 1979. Ron was an avid I.U Basketball and NASCAR fan, loved to travel, play golf and attend his grandchildren's activities.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Kathryn "Katie" Clark of Anderson; eight children, Cindi McCord, Susan Humes, Lisa Rinker, Richard Clark, Cathy (Bob) Osbourne all of Anderson, David (Lori) Clark of Noblesville, Joe (Amanda) Clark of Bullard, TX and Lora Walter of Middletown; grandchildren, Nathan and Conor McCord, Courtney, Sean and Sara Clark, Trevor Humes, Katie (Kyle) McCoy, Tyler Rinker, Chris and Rebecca Clark, Alisha Burns, Joel (Brittany) Stubblefield, Zachary and McKenzie Clark and Cody Walter; great grandchildren, Mariah, Piper, Kraya, Caleb, Owen, Jada, Easton, Chloe, Gracen and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Christina Clark Collins; brothers and sisters, Gene Clark, Darryl Clark, Lorraine Burson, Frieda Teagarden and Phyllis Jarvis; parent-in-laws, Roy and Anna Baxter, one brother-in-law, Robert Baxter.
