"Charles was Father of 2 children(Sonja Ann Clark Mercer and Nedra Ellen Clark Cobb). In addition, "Charles" was Father of 3 stepdaughters(Linda Pettigrew Smith, Beverly Pettigrew Kilmer, and Melanie Pettigrew Bieberich). "Charles" was first married to "Mary Louise Wilson"(see Family Link below). After her death, "Charles" then married "Norma (Huntzinger)Pettigrew"(see Family Link below). "Charles" was Son of "Walter K. Clark" & "Anna E. Jones". "Charles" served as Manager of the Kroger Supermarket in the late 1930s and early 1940s for nine years before going to work at Guide Lamp Division. He retired after 33 years of employment and at the time of his retirement was director of financial accounting. "Charles" was a 1931 Graduate of Pendleton High School. He was a long-time member of the First United Methodist Church, Pendelton, and a 60-year member of Madison County Masonic Lodge 44 F&AM, Pendelton, where he served on the building committee for the new lodge. He was a member of Scottish Rite Valley and Murat Shrine Temple, both in Indianapolis. "Charles" was a past president of the Pendleton Letterman Club and member of the Pendleton Alumni Association. He served three terms on the Fall Creek Library Board and was a past president of the Pendleton Chamber of Commerce and a charter member of the Anderson-Madison County Vistors and Convention Bureau. He was a lifetime officer, member, and past president of the Pendelton Historical Museum and received the Pendleton Lion Club's "Outstanding Citizens Award" in recognition of his contributions and leadership in creation of the Pendleton Historical Museum. "Charles" had 11 grandchildern and six great-grandchildren at the time of his death.
