Sylvia Heffley, 68, of Radnor, postmaster at Radnor post office since 1952, died at 9:25 p.m. Thursday in St. Elizabeth Hospital. She had been ill since January.

Born in Radnor October 5, 1906, she was the daughter of Charles Albert and Florence Gertrude Smith Clawson. Her marriage June 20, 1926, was to Leslie C. Heffley who died June 9,1973. She was a member of Radnor United Methodist Church and Radnor correspondent for Carroll County Comet.

Surviving are two sons, Charles Heffley of West Lafayette and John Heffley of Ockley; two sisters, Mrs. Maybell Robbins of Huntington and Mrs. Gladys Gillam of Rt. 4, Delphi; four brothers, Charles Clawson of Kokomo, Jesse Clawson and Gearold Clawson of Delphi, and Medford of Lafayette, and seven grandchildren. Two daughters preceded her in death.

Funeral services were Sunday afternoon at Brown Funeral Chapel, Rossville, with the Rev. Phillip Emerson officiating.
Interment was in Zion Cemetery.
