Mrs. Opal Clawson Strycker, 67, of LaPorte died Friday in her home. She was born in Radnor and had also lived in South Bend before moving to LaPorte in 1965. She was married in 1926 in Radnor to Evert R. Strycker, who died in 1970.
Mrs. Strycker taught at New Hope School before her marriage and also taught at Rolling Prairie in i926 and 1927.
Surviving are three sons, E. Philip of LaPorte, Edward L. of Indianapolis and Maurice D. of Argos; three sisters, Mrs. Berne (Gladys) Gillum of Rt. 4, Delphi, Mrs. Leslie (Sylvia) Heffley of Radnor and Mrs. Ralph (Maybell) Robbins of Huntington; four brothers, Jesse and Gearold Clawson of Delphi, Medford of Lafayette and Charles of Kokomo, and 11 grandchildren. A daughter and granddaughter preceded her in death.
