William Overman CHAMBERLAIN, well-known resident of the East Spring street road, passed away at his home about 4 o'clock Tuesday morning following a short illness.

The son of William Newton and Mary Ada (OVERMAN) CHAMBERLAIN, he was born at Campbellsburg {Washington County, Indiana} on March 26, 1873. A retired railroader, he had resided in Bloomfield with his family for the past 35 years, where he was a member of the First Methodist Church.

Mr. CHAMBERLAIN is survived by his wife, Cora Alice, with whom he observed his golden wedding anniversary on June 25, 1947; three sons, Joseph, of Grand Rapids, Michigan; Charles, of Beverly Hills, California, and Ted, of Park Ridge, Illinois, and three daughters, Mrs. Florence LARROWE, of Gloversville, New York; Mrs. Lois ALEXANDER, of Cottage Grove, and Mrs. Maxine HURD, of Bedford.

Also surviving him are three brothers, Hayes CHAMBERLAIN, of Salem, Delbert, of Roachdale, and Benjamin, of Louisville, Kentucky, and six sisters, Mrs. Zella CATHCART, and Mrs. Jennie KEMP, of Campbellsburg; Mrs. Bessie KENNEDY, of Louisville, Kentucky; Mrs. Florence DAVIS, of Pekin, Illinois; Mrs. Mabel HAYES, of Orleans, and Mrs. Mattie HUFF, of Los Angles, California.

Funeral services were held this afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the Jenkins & Sons chapel here, with Rev. L. D. ROBERTSON officiating. Burial was in the Walnut Grove Cemetery.
