BETTENDORF, IOWA--Helen L. Vogt, 90, of Bettendorf, Iowa, formerly of Belgrade, died Sunday Oct. 3, 1999, in Iowa.

Services will be at 11 a.m., Thursday at Palmer Funeral Home in Fullerton. Gary Oliver will officiate. Burial will be in the Fullerton Cem. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. Thursday until service time. Memorials are suggested to American Cancer Society.

Mrs. Vogt was born Jan. 15, 1909 at Belgrade to Benjamin and Mayme (Garvin) Ainlay. She grew up in Belgrade and graduated from Belgrade High School in 1926.

On Dec 3, 1927, she married Merle Vogt at Woodbine, Iowa. She was employed in civil service for more that 50 years. She served as a supervisor of nuclear weapons in Rock Island Arsenal. She retired in 1996.

Survivors include one son, Thomas of Bartleville, Okla.; one daughter, Marilyn (Mrs. Richard) Webster of Wood River; seven grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one son, Merle Jr; one daughter, Suzanne Gross; one brother, Benjamin; four sisters, Lucille McKillip, Marquerite Ainley, Dorothy Whitehead, and Eleanor Moore; and one granddaughter, Roseanne Nichols.
