ABEL -- Evelyn, age 86, of Tulsa, died December 30, 2004 in Tulsa. Mrs. Abel was born on March 26, 1918 in Midland, Arkansas and was the daughter of Frank and Pearl (Glidewell) Ladd.
She came to Tulsa at a early age where she grew up and attended school. She was a Homemaker and was united in marriage to Clifford H. Abel in Tulsa. He preceded her in death on August 7, 1988.
She enjoyed caring for her family and home.
She is survived by two daughters, Paulette Perry and her husband, Verlyn of Sand Springs; and Donna Sue Crosby and her husband, David of Tulsa; one son, Clifford Harvey Abel, Jr. of Tulsa; one sister, Louise "Boots" Walje of Tulsa; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; a daughter, Joan Abel; a son, Donald Ervin Abel; two sisters; and two brothers.
Funeral service is at 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 4, 2005 in the Mobley-Dodson Funeral Chapel in Sand Springs. Interment in the Woodland Memorial Park in Sand Springs under the direction of the Mobley-Dodson Funeral Service of Sand Springs. (Tulsa World)
