Leo Vernon Arnestad
Born June 20, 1922, and died unexpectedly at home December 28, 2002. He was the fourth of eight children born to Albert and Rachel (Allee) Arnestad. Leo graduated from Lincoln High School in 1943 as a two-year Decathlon winner. He immediately entered the Navy, serving in the heart of the Japanese action. Leo lived in California from 1946 until the 1905’s, when he returned to Washington, bought a heating oil delivery truck (Leo’s Fuel Oil) and delivered oil for the next thirty years. Leo had a life-long love of sports and fitness, bowling on a league until the week of his death. He also enjoyed walking, golf and watching all sport. Leo was predeceased by his parents and siblings: Maxine, Maurie and Beverly. He is survived by sisters: Grace Bredeson and Toody Miller; brothers: Walt and Buster and numerous nieces and nephews. Services will be Friday, January 3, 2003 at 11 a.m. at Fir Lane Chapel in Spanaway.
