Services for Byron Edwin (Eddie) Medley, 78, of Canton, Texas, are scheduled for 10 am Thursday February 27 at St. Therese Catholic Church with Father Selvaraj Sinnappan officiating, under the direction of Eubank Funeral Home, Canton.
Burial will be in Haven of Memories, Canton.
He passed away February 22, 2014 in Canton.
Mr. Medley was born November 1, 1935 in Owensboro, to Edwin Wathen and Louva Violet Ford Medley.
Eddie graduated from Owensboro Catholic High School in 1953 and attended University of Daton in Daton, Ohio and was a U.S. Army Veteran. Before re-locating to Texas in 1978 Eddie worked at a family operated Medley Distilling Company in Owensboro, Kentucky. He was a founding member of St. Therese Catholic Church.
Surviving are Wife of 52 years, Phyllis Clark Medley of Canton, Son, Byron Medley Jr. of Canton, Son, Eric & Kitty Medley of Canton, Daughter, Jennifer Medley Heidle of Canton, 4 Grandsons, Zachary , Nicholas , James Medley and Parker Blagburn, 4 Granddaughters, Donnelle Mitchell, Emily Heidle, Sarah Heidle, Morgan Medley, Sister, Cora Ellen McKinley of Elizabethtown, Brother, George & Sally Medley of Canton, plus numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his Parents, Sister, Margaret Medley Stanley and Brothers, Joseph Ford Medley and James Bernard Medley.
Pallbearers are Zachary Medley, Nicholas Medley, James Medley, Parker Blagburn, Bobby Stanley, James Byron Colby, Eddie Medley
