Services were held for Mr. James Bernard Medley, 41, of Carthage at 3 p.m. Monday, Jan. 28, 1991 at Jimerson Funeral Home Chapel. The Reverend Gerald Priest officiated. A Rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 27 at Jimerson Funeral Home Chapel. Entombment was in the J. D. Jimerson Memorial Mausoleum in Restland Memorial Park. Medley passed away Friday afternoon, Jan. 25 at the East Texas Medical Center in Tyler.

Medley was born Dec. 5, 1949 in Owensboro, KY, and was the son of Edwin and Louva Ford Medley. He was a Vietnam veteran, serving in the United States Marine Corps. He had been a resident of Carthage for the past two and a half years, moving from Gladewater. Mr. Medley was the owner of Medley Fluids in Carthage and was of the Catholic faith. He was a member of the Petroleum Club.

Medley is survived by his wife, June White Medley of Carthage; mother, Louva Ford Medley of Owensboro, KY; two brothers, Byron E. Medley and George E. Medley IV both of Canton; two sisters, Cora Ellen McKinley of Elizabethtown, KY, and Margaret M. Stanley of Conroe; and 16 nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Mike Clendenin, Byron Medley, Eddie Medley, Eric Medley, Matthew Peavey and Dan Thompson.
