Obituary: Long Illness Is fatal
To Mrs. M. A. Davidson
Mrs. Martha Ann Davidson, 86,
died Thursday morning at her
home 1017 Forrest Dr., after a
long illness. She was the mother of
Mrs. W. W. Price, wife of Dr. Price,
prominent Charleston dentist.
Mrs. Davidson was born July 8, 1856
at Middleport, Ohio, The daughter
of the late John Dabney and
Margaret Fultz Shewsbury. Her
husband, Charles Berry Dasvidson,
died Dec 17, 1924.
She leaves five other daughters,
Mrs. H.C. Everbaugh, Mrs. J. H.
Vaughan, Mrs. F. Alice Dent and
Mrs. Mary M. Slinger, all of
South Charleston, and Mrs. H. S. Hill
of South Charleston; two sons
Clarence P. of Charleston, and
Lawrence C. of Los Angeles, Calif.;
one sister, Mrs. William Smith, Hunting-
ton; 27 grandchildren and 38 great-
grandchildren and two great-
great-grandchildren.
She was a member of the Florida
Street Church of God.
Funeral Services will be held
Friday at 2:30 p.m. in the Barlow
Mortuary Chapel. Burial will be in
the Spring Hill Cemetery. Her
grandsons will be pallbearers.
