"FRENCH - Funeral services for Edward N. French will be held Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock in the Langevin-Meyer chapel. The Rev Ivy Holmwood will officiate and burial will be in Tahoma cemetery. Pallbearers will be Oscar Carlson, George Crum, George Ransler, Edwin McRae, Willis Beck and Jease Alley. French died suddenly Saturday afternoon while hunting with his grandson in the hills near Tieton. He had lived here 20 years. He is survived by four sons, Howard and Ernest of Selah, and Ralph and Harry of White Swan; six daughters, Mrs. Doreatha Burr, Mrs. Agnes Barker, Mrs. Evelyn Curcio and Mrs. Ella Tamburello all of Yakima, Mrs. Bertha Jarvis of Ontario, Canada; two sisters, and a brother and 24 grandchildren."

"FRENCH STRICKEN ON HUNTING TRIP

Funeral services for Edward N. French, father of Howard and Ernest French of Selah, were held from the Langevin-Meyer chapel on Tuesday afternoon.

French, who was aged 74 years was stricken with a heart attack, while hunting a mile and a half south of the Tieton Saturday afternoon. His son-in-law, Sid Barrett was with him at the time.

French had lived in the valley for 20 years. Members of his family include four sons, Howard and Ernest of Selah and Ralph and Harry of White Swan; six daughters, Mrs. Dorothea Burr, Mrs. Agnes Barker, Mrs. Evelyn Curcio, and Mrs. Ella Tamburello, all of Yakima, Mrs. Hazel Barrett of Selah and Mrs. Bertha Jarvis of Ontario, Canada; two sisters, Mrs George Plan of Salem, Ore., and Mrs. Will Saulcy of Loveland, Cal.; one brother, J. L. French of Loveland and 24 grandchildren. He was a member of the Rescue Mission."
