Alferetta Marie Mercer, 76, of Washington, died Wednesday, April 9, 2014, in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh.

She was born May 26, 1937, in Crossroads, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Florence Mae Jackson.

Mrs. Mercer was a homemaker.

On September 1, 1962, she married Albert Mercer, who survives.

Also surviving are three daughters, Carolyn Sue Mercer, Barbara Ann Williams and Doris Eileen Clemens (Raymond), all of Washington; a brother, Billy Joe Barr (Barbara) of Washington; a sister, Sue Hulbert (Gary) of Washington; five grandchildren, Adam Mercer (Allison), Brandon Presto (Michelle), Matthew Presto, Ashley Williams and April Williams; and a great-grandchild, Lee Mercer.

Deceased are siblings, Charles "Jake" Barr, Betty McCoy, Mary Ann Barr, Patty Sloneker and Floyd Barr Jr.

Friends will be received Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, April 14th. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.
