Evangeline R. Glasow, age 86, formerly of Reedsville, died Sunday, April 6, 2014 at Kindred Nursing and Rehabilitation Center of Manitowoc.

Evangeline was born May 21, 1927 in New Holstein, daughter of the late John and Leona (Schneider) Bennin. On June 11, 1949 Evangeline married Theodore Glasow at St. Peter Ev. Lutheran Church. He preceded her in death September 16, 2003. She was a member of St. Peter Ev. Lutheran Church, Collins. She enjoyed sewing, bingo, bean bags and drawing.

She is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law: Jerome (Nancy) Glasow, Collins; Gerald Glasow, Kiel; four grandchildren: Chris Glasow, Manitowoc; Jason (Amie) Glasow, Reedsville; Carl Glasow, NV; Michelle Glasow, Kiel; three great-grandchildren: Olivia, Danni and Hope; two brothers and sisters-in-law: Doris Bennin, Madison; Willard Bennin, New Holstein; Roger (Susan) Bennin, Manitowoc; two sisters: Betty Heinzen, Manitowoc; Lila Kohlbeck, Manitowoc, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. S

he was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Theodore; one daughter-in-law: Rita Glasow; one brother: John Bennin; two sisters: Elaine Gephardt; Lorraine Otto; one brother-in-law: Paul Heinzen.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at St. Peter Ev. Lutheran Church, 2501 Collins Road, Collins. Rev. Ross Henzi will officiate. Entombment will take place at Knollwood Mausoleum, town of Kossuth. Relatives and friends may call at the church on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services at 11:00 a.m. The Jens Family Funeral Home & Crematory is assisting the Glasow family with funeral arrangements.

The Glasow family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Kindred Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for the care and compassion given to Evangeline.
