Mrs. Jewel Coburn, 88, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2017, at Mitchell-Hollingsworth Rehabilitation Center after an extended illness. She was a member of Washington Park Baptist Church.
Mrs. Coburn was preceded in death by her husband, Lois Coburn; parents, George and Emmie Bacon; sisters, Evie Barnes and Willa Crowell; and brothers, G.W., J.H., and Don Bacon.
She is survived by her sons, David Coburn (Kerrie) and Danny Coburn (Debbie); daughter, Pat Mackey Cook; brother, Johnny Bacon; sister, Beatrice Hooper; grandchildren, Jason Mackey (Amanda), Brian Mackey, Kendra O’Steen (Craig), Amanda and Donald Williams, Grace Ann Bonds (Mathew), and Rebecca Coburn; and great-grandchildren, Keller, Brylee, Sawyer, and Kyndall Mackey.
