Maxine Allsup, 85, of Lee's Summit, MO. died Jan 13, 2000, at St. Joseph Health Center in Kansas City, MO. Funeral services was held at Our Lady of the Presentation Catholic Church in Lee's Summit on Monday, January 17th, with burial in Lee's Summit Cemetery. Maxine was born November 18, 1914, in Manhattan, KS. She was one of six children. Her grandfather came to this country from County Cork, Ireland. She worked for Graybar Electric Co., where she met her sweetheart, Raymond Allsup. She and Raymond Earl Allsup were married on Aug. 31, 1957 in Kansas City, MO. Before she retired, she was a bookkeeper for A. E. Smiley Electric Co. for about 10 years, She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, and a volunteer at Lee's Summit Hospital and John Knox Village. She is survived by her husband, Raymond Allsup of the home, and one sister, Elizabeth Armstrong of Grand Island, NE.
They had no children.
