XAVIER POZORSKI
(1876 - 1945)

Xavier Pozorski, 69, of 1218 South 18th Street, died early today at his home, following a five months illness.

Funeral services will be held at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Shimek and Schwartz funeral home and at 9 o'clock at the St. Mary's Catholic church, the Rev. John Landowski officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's cemetery.

Mr. Pozorski was born in Nordheim, this county, in 1876 and moved to Manitowoc where he spent his entire life. In 1897 he married Miss Ella Poklinkowski. He was a member of the Holy Name society and the Stanislaus Kostki society of the St. Mary's congregation.

Survivors are his wife; five sons, Peter, John and Frank of this city, Sgt. Henry in England, Cpl. Stanley in Egypt; eight daughters, Mrs. Charles Hettmann, Mrs. Albert Heim, Mrs. Stanley Lusnia, Mrs. Andrew Cichantek, Mrs. Laverne Polley, Mrs. Anna Brandel, Mrs. Raymond Ludtke, and Emily all of this city; two brothers, Ignatz and Frank of this city; two sisters, Mrs. Alban Schmitt of this city, Mrs. Christ Grunnet of Naperville, Ill.; and 26 grandchildren.

The body may be viewed at the funeral home from 7 p.m. Sunday until the hour of the services. The rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Monday.
