She was the daughter of Robert William and Daisy Monte (Johnson) Davis and married Emmette Leslie Walker - 26 Nov 1914 - Madison Co., Alabama. Her obituary follows:

A funeral for Emily Alvorene Walker, 75, of Rt. 1, New Market, who died Wednesday at a local hospital, will be Friday at 10 a.m. at Laughlin Service Funeral Home chapel, the Rev. L. R. Riddle officiating. Burial will be in Miller Cemetery. Mrs. Walker was a life-long resident of New Market and member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Jewel W. Drake of Madison; a sister, Miss Alliene Davis; brother, Robert M. Davis, both of New Market; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a niece and several nephews. Pallbearers will be R. F. Vandiver, O. H. Esslinger, John B. Keith, L. B. White, V. T. Stone, Fred Shubert, E. B. Gurley and J. M. Chandler.
