Mrs. Dicie Bell Burt was the daughter of John S. and Cynthia Gunter Smith. She was a retired drawing attendant at Fitzgerald Mills; she was the widow of Lawrence Thomas Burt and a member of the Fitzgerald Church of God. She had lived in the Colony City since 1925.
She is survived by four brothers: Hoyt and E. C. Smith of Atlanta; Looney and J. B. Smith of Fitzgerald; and six sisters: Mrs. Irene Hughes, Miss Moddie Smith, Mrs. Ruby Douglas, and Mrs. Lois Parsons all of Fitzgerald, Mrs. Lou Robinson of Jacksonville, FL., and Mrs. Vidalia Grantham of Ocilla. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
