Thomas E. Koch, 68, of Hilbert, who leaves 68 direct descendants, died early Sunday morning at Calumet memorial Hospital, Chilton, following a short illness.
He was born March 9, 1904 at Francis Creek, son of the late Henry and Beulah Doer Koch, and spent most of his life in Mosinee, before moving to Laona.

He married Margaret Barstow on March 28, 1928 at Townsend, and for the past 22 years resided in Hilbert. He formerly worked in the foundry and maintenance departments at Tecumseh Corp., New Holstein, before retiring.

Mr. Koch is survived by his wife; six daughters, Mrs. Willard (Charlotte) Meyers, Mrs. Eugene (Elsie) Behrent, Mrs. Ervin (Vera) Piechocky, all of Manitowoc, Mrs. Raymond (Vivian) Nienhaus, Newton, Mrs. Robert (Elnora) Sermons, Texas, and Mrs. Ronald (Barbara) Peters of Mt. Gilead, Ohio; eight sons, Leonard and Richard, Green Bay, Ronald, Plymouth, Thomas, Jr., Rosendale, Phillip and David, State of Oregon, Leroy, Brillion and Robert, Chilton; 52 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Five sister, Mrs. Luella Legler and Mrs. Katherine Brosel, both of Milwaukee, Mrs. Henrietta Sigman, Fremont, Calif., Mrs. Elaine Winslow, Bancroft, and Mrs. Noni Prue, Wisconsin Rapids and five brothers, Lloyd, Kenneth and Arthur, all of Milwaukee, Ray, Wausau and Bernard, Santa Cruz, Calif.

Funeral services were at Kapitzke Funeral Home in Hilbert with the Rev. C. A. Rathjen, pastor, of St. Peter Lutheran Church officiating. Burial was in Hillside Cemetery, Chilton.
