LONG ILLNESS ENDS IN DEATH
Mrs. John Benzinger Dies Today
Mrs. John Benzinger, nee Hess, died at the family home at 1906 Adams street at 10 o'clock this morning of complications from which she had been suffering for several months.
Mrs. Benzinger was born in the town of Two Rivers on Nov. 25, 1885. On April 27, 1886, she was married to John Benzinger and lived in the town of Mishicot until six years ago, when they moved to this city.
Sixteen children were born to this union, 13 of whom are living. Besides her husband, nine daughters and four sons survive to mourn her loss. They are Mrs. M. L. Popp and Mrs. Brownie Schwartz of Milwaukee; Mrs. William Lawrence of Manitowoc; Mrs. Pauline Flentje of Mishicot, and Mrs. Mary Flentje, Mrs. Ed. Bebeau, Mrs. George Peot., Jr., Mrs. Milton Peltier and Mrs. Leo Deja of this city; Oscar and John Benzinger of Mishicot and Arthur and Joseph of this city. She is also survived by 27 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
The funeral arrangements have not been completed, but will be held on Friday from St. Luke's Catholic church, with the Rev. C.V. Hugo officiating. Burial will be at the Holy Cross cemetery.
The body of Mr. Benzinger is lying in state
at the Beduhn and Goetz funeral parlor until Wednesday afternoon, when it will be taken to the family home.
