VINCENT F. CHERNEY

Vincent F. Cherney, 89, of 2602 Forest Ave., Two Rivers, died Tuesday evening at Two Rivers Municipal Hospital.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Mark Catholic Church, Two Rivers. The Rev. Michael Koch will officiate and burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Two Rivers.

Mr. Cherney was born Jan. 23, 1885, in the Town of Franklin, Manitowoc County, son of the late Joseph and Mary Strnad Cherney. He farmed until 1935 and then was employed at the Manitowoc Hotel as an elevator operator and maintenance man, retiring in 1960. He was a member of the Two Rivers Senior Citizens.

Survivors include two sons, Howard, of Francis Creek and Allan, of Golden, Colo.; a daughter, Mrs. Fred (Gladys) Steinbrecker, of Racine and five grandchildren. A son, Earl, two brothers and five sisters preceded him in death.

Friends may call at Klein & Stangel Funeral Home Inc., Two Rivers, after 4 p.m. Thursday where a memorial service will be held at 7 p.m.
