MAURICE G. BLANCHARD


The sad death of Maurice G. Blanchard, age 24, which was mentioned in yesterday's Star, occurred at his home, 19 Brook street, Thursday evening at 9 o'clock. The funeral services will be held at his late home, 19 Brook street, Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock and will be conducted by Rev Truman F Hall. Interment will be in Glenwood cemetery.

Mr. Blanchard was the son of Willis E. Blanchard and Frances Hall Blanchard. He was born in Jordan, September 6, 1889, and in 1891 his parents moved to Oneonta, where he has resided ever since with the exception of about three years spent with his brother in Ellisburg.

He had be ill for the past three years with tuberculosis of the bones, but was an exceedingly patient sufferer during all his long and painful illness. He was a faithful member of the Methodist Episcopal Church.

Besides his parents, he is survived by five brothers and one sister; Allen C. Blanchard of Watertown, Harold W. Blanchard of Amarillo, Texas, Carl C. Blanchard of Ragan, Nebraska, Edward H. and Herbert Blanchard of Oneonta, and Mrs. Atwell D. Black of Ragan, Nebraska.
