Mildred C. Cherney Fogeltanz Halbach
Age 93, formerly of Kellnersville, and most recently of Appleton, died Tuesday afternoon, April 4,2000, at River's Bend Medical & Rehabilitation Center, Manitowoc.
Funeral Services will be 11 a.m. Friday, April 7, 2000, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Kellnersville.
The Reverend Ronald Colombo will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial with Sr. Marlene Greatens, homilist. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.

The former Mildred Cherney was born September 7 1906, in the Town of Franklin, daughter of the late Charles and Rose Zeman Cherney. Mildred was a graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School on December 10, 1945, Manitowoc County Normal School, on August 1, 1951, and received her
Bachelor of Science Degree in Education from Holy Family College on July 26, 1963. Mildred's teaching career began in Manitowoc County in 1923, until her retirement in 1972 from the Lincoln Elementary School in Appleton. Mildred was married to Henry Fogeltanz on August 9, 1947, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Kellnersville. He preceded her in death on February 28, 1954. Mildred was then married to Clement J. Halbach on June 2, 1956, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Kellnersville.
He preceded her in death on May 11, 1997. Mildred was a former member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church, Appleton.

Survivors include a sister, Grace Sutherland, Nashville, Tennessee; six sisters-in-law, Marguerite Cherney, Manitowoc; Hazel Cherney, Brillion; Margaret Fogeltanz, Manitowoc; Anna Fogeltanz, Kellnersville; Verena Halbach, Fond du Lac; Adeline Halbach, St. John, and a very special friend, Molly Krish, Kellnersville; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends survive. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Charles, Jerome, Joseph, and Victor.

Relatives and friends may call on Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Kellnersville, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services.
