Frantie Louise Jessie, age 91, died on Sunday, Feb. 12, 2006, at Sauk Prairie Memorial Hospital. She was born in West Lima, Richland County, on Oct. 23, 1914, the daughter of the late Elsworth and Bessie (Eastman) Thomas. She was united in marriage to Raymond C. Jessie on Oct. 28, 1935, in Belvidere Ill. She and Ray farmed in the Sumpter Township for most of their lives. Frantie was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church. Survivors include son, James (Jeanne Wallendal) Jessie of Norco, Calif.; three grandchildren, Jolene Jessie of Sacramento, Calif., Jay (Lisa) Jessie of Glendora, Calif., and James (Shannon) Jessie of Carlsbad, Calif.; and seven great-grandchildren, Mason, Amanda, Davis, Camille, Mia, Devyn and Lauryn. Further survived by many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Jessie on Feb. 16, 2005; four sisters, June Christopherson, Floy Waddell, May Baer and Elsie Barker; and two brothers, Leslie and Homer Thomas. Funeral services will be held on Friday, Feb. 17, 2006, at 11 a.m., at HOOVERSON FUNERAL HOME, Sauk City. Friends may call on the family from 10 a.m. until time of service. Burial will be held in the Prairie du Sac Cemetery, a reception will follow in the Calvary Baptist Church Fellowship Hall. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
