George Leroy Milner, 80, went to be with the Lord on August 2, 2014. He was born on September 18, 1933 to George and Eulanda Milner in El Paso, Texas. At an early age his family moved to Pecos, Texas where he resided until 1955 when he joined the United States Air Force.

While he was in the military he met and fell in love with his wife, Joyce Majors. After retiring from the Air Force he went to work for the Department of Public Safety in Austin until his retirement in 1999. For many years, he enjoyed playing and competing in racquetball. At age 50, George received his private pilot license.

George is survived by his wife of 57 years, Joyce Majors Milner, daughter Lynn M. Walker, her husband Doyle, sister, Rose Marie Price and brother, Richard K. Milner. He was preceded in death by his son, Rory James Milner.

A visitation will be on August 5, services at eleven o'clock at Hillcrest Baptist Church, 3838 Steck Avenue, Austin Texas. Interment will follow in Cook-Walden Memorial Hill Cemetery, Pflugerville, Texas with full military honors.
