Mrs. Emma H. Gaumer (nee Shaffer), wife of Lewis O. Gaumer, died at the Allentown Hospital Thursday, to which institution she had been removed from her home, 1414 Gordon street, on Wednesday. An operation was to have taken place, but she died before it could be accomplished. She was a daughter of James F. and Anna Maria Shaffer, by whom she is survived. There also survive her husband and the following children: Claude, Stanley, Howard, Edgar, Paul, Lester, Gladys, Miriam and Anna. Two sisters and three brothers also survive, as follows: Mary Shaffer, Mrs. Hannah Brooks, George, Howard and John Shaffer. Funeral will be held from her late home on Monday at 2.20 o'clock with interment at convenience of family in Greenwood cemetery.
