KINGMAN - Leona H. Hoffine, 93, died June 13, 2007, at Hospice House of Reno County.

She was born on Jan. 26, 1914, in Lakin, the daughter of Nathaniel and Nettie Blumanhourst Bailey. A resident of Pretty Prairie since 1986, previously of Murdock, she was a homemaker.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church and Senior Citizens Center, both in Pretty Prairie.

On July 10, 1937, she married Paul Hoffine in Wichita. He died in March 1993.

Survivors include: a son, Howard, Hutchinson; two daughters, Helen Markwell Melton, Kingman, and Hazel Moran Prideaux, Pretty Prairie; eight grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 15 great-great-grandchildren; numerous step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by: two brothers, Herman and Nathan Bailey; twin sister, LaVona; and sisters, Martha, Pearl Florentine and Marquerite Robinson; and two great grandchildren, Casey Markwell and Kregg Allen Moran.

Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Livingston Funeral Home, Kingman with the Rev. Marilyn Christmore presiding. Friends may call from 1 to 8 p.m. Friday, with the family receiving friends from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Waterloo Cemetery.

Memorials may be sent to Garden Fund at the Hospice House of Reno County, the Pretty Prairie United Methodist Church, and Pretty Prairie Senior Citizens Center, all in care of Livingston Funeral Home, 1830 North Main, Kingman, KS 67068.
