SOUTH HUTCHINSON - Nathan William Bailey, 77, died Feb. 3, 2006, at Hospice House, Hutchinson.

He was born Dec. 2, 1928, in Lakin, the son of Nathan and Nettie Blumanhourst Bailey. A resident of South Hutchinson since 1947, he was Vice President and General Manager for an Automotive Parts Store for 38 years.

On Oct. 18, 1947, he married Miriam Brown in Kingman. She survives. Other survivors include: three daughters, Janice Bowman, Hutchinson, Barbara Wroe, Billings, Mont, and Tammy Augustine, Salina; a sister, Leona Hoffine, Pretty Prairie; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Herman Bailey; and five sisters, Martha Lohmann, Levona Bailey, Pearl Florentine, Margueriette Robinson and Bertha Bailey.

Funeral will be at 11 am Wednesday at South Hutchinson United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Richard E. Zimmerman presiding. Graveside service will be at 2:30 pm Wednesday in Walnut Hill Cemetery, Kingman. Visitation will be Monday and Tuesday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Memorials may be sent to Hospice of Reno County or the donor's choice, both in care of the funeral home.
