Nathan Bailey was born in Nebraska, April 29th, 1877 and died at Lakin, Kansas, November 5th, 1928, aged 51 years, 5 months, and 24 days.

He was married to Miss Nettie Blumanhourst of Kingman, Kansas, March 14th, 1911.

Seven children came to this marriage, six of whom are living, one of them, Bertha Fay is dead.

The living are Martha Mary, Levona Ellen, Leona Helen, Herman Abraham, Dora Parlie and Nettie Marguriette.

The husband and wife took a government claim north of Lakin 22 years ago; after proving up, they sold the claim and moved away, staying away for twelve years, but returned here two years ago. Six years ago he had a bad sick spell and this summer sickness again was his lot. After about six weeks illness he answered the call to which all persons must give heed. He was a church member but was not permitted to attend very often.

One brother lives in California and one sister in Kansas.

Two sisters of Mrs. Bailey were present at the funeral, Mrs. Leona Pittell, of Harrington, Kansas, and Mrs. August Ravenstein and husband of Kingman, Kansas. There were several other relatives present at the funeral from Kansas, but the writer does not have their names.

The funeral was held at the Presbyterian Church Thursday the 8th, conducted by Dr. Honsaker, pastor of the church.
