Tony William Murphrey, age 62, of Waxahachie, passed away Saturday, Feb.21, 2004. He was born Mar.22, 1941 in Eustace, Texas to Edwin Russell and Pearl Inez(Chandler) Murphrey. Tony had been a resident of Ellis County for the past 61 years. He was very well known and a loving and caring person.
Survivors include brothers and sisters. Eva (Murphrey) Flores and her husband Paul of Waxahachie, Janice (Murphrey)
Richardson and her husband Jim of Rockett. David Murphrey of Waxahachie, Bobby Murphrey of Ft.Worth, Larry Murphrey and his fiancee, Cynthia Norton, Terry and Perry Murphrey of Waxahachie, and Elvie Murphrey and his wife Evelyn of Snyder, Texas; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews and his babies (dogs), Tony, Harry, Don, Star Diamond and Baby Doll.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2004, in the chapel of the Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Funeral Home with Pastor C.L. McPherson officiating. Interment will follow in the Waxahachie City Cemetery.
The family will receive friends and relatives at the at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m.
