She was born April 17, 1924, in Navarro County.
Survivor's include her husband, Edwin Murphrey; 7 sons, Tony William, Samuel David, Larry Russell, Terry Dean, Perry Gwen, all of Waxahachie. Bobby Eugene and Elvie Dale, both of Newark, Texas; 2 daughters, Janice Lanell Hatton and Eva Estell Flores of Midlothian; 16 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; 2 brothers, Milton Chandler of California and T.R. Chandler of Louisiana; a sister, Rose(Chandler)Lawhon of Keller; and parents Johnnie and Vallie(Littlejohn)Chandler of Ennis.
Funeral services were 2 p.m. Thursday in Bose-Mitchell Chapel with Rev. Larry Rolison officiating. Burial was in Lakeview Cemetery.
