She was a life member of the Women's Christian Temperance Union, past member of the Canadian Women's Club, member of the Olivet group of the missionary society and deaconess of the First Baptist church. She was also an active Red Cross worker.
Her husband, William M., died in Calgary [sic] in July, 1927.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Ernest Hobbs, Miami, Florida, and Mrs. John R. Giles, Madden; seven sons, Theodore L., Cumberland, Wis.; Victor E., Maynard, Mass; Clarence M., DeWinton; George W. and Murray D., both of Detroit; Dr. Harold, New York city; and Maj. J. Stewart, Calgary; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Brown, Calgary; Mrs. Bertrand Han Be..., Mass; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
