Daughter of Jan Linhart and Marie Prohaska Linhart. Born in Žleby. Came to the United States with her family in 1903. Survived the sinking of the Eastland in the Chicago River 24 July 1915. Married Alois Benes 30 November 1916 in Chicago. She and Alois had two sons. She lived in the Chicago area for most of her life.
