CASTOR, LA – Funeral services for Ethel McCarthy, 96, of Castor, LA will be held Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at 10:00 AM in Rockett Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. James Nailes officiating. Burial will follow in Ebenezer Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, October 20, 2014 from 5:00 – 8:00 PM at Rockett Funeral Home in Ringgold, LA. Mrs. McCarthy was born September 11, 1918 in Castor, LA and went to be with The Lord October 18, 2014 in Ringgold, LA. She was a member of Foster Arbor Assembly of God Church in Castor, LA. She love to fish, hunt and mow her yard. She was loved and adored by her family and will be greatly missed. She is preceded in death by her husband, Gerald McCarthy; and a beloved son, Dennis McCarthy. Left to cherish her memories include her two sons and daughters-in-law, Terry and Gloria McCarthy of Jamestown,LA and Mike and Judy McCarthy of Castor, LA; grandchildren, Glenn McCarthy and wife, Lisa of Paris, TX, Tony McCarthy of Castor, LA, Michael McCarthy of Castor, LA, Jason McCarthy and wife, Michelle of Castor, LA, Richie McCarthy and wife, Kim of Castor, LA, Melinda Brown and husband, Stephen Brown of Saline, LA; 13 grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren and a number of other relatives and friends. Pallbearers will be Richie McCarthy, Tony McCarthy, Glenn McCarthy, Michael McCarthy, Jason McCarthy, and Justin McCarthy. Honorary pallbearers will be Dylan McCarthy, Stephen Brown, Matt McCarthy and Caleb Shirley.
