Miriam was born on July 26, 1952, in Utica, the daughter of Frederick and Mildred (Staring) Carlson.
She graduated from Frankfort - Schuyler Central School and subsequently from Mohawk Valley Community College with a degree in Secretarial Science. For nearly 30 years, she was the Office/Business Manager for the Architectural Firms of Myron Jordan Associates and subsequently James Jordan Associates, Richfield Springs. Miriam is survived by her mother, Mildred Carlson, of Frankfort; her sons, Jason and his wife, Emerine Kelsey, of Norwich, and Brian Kelsey, of Rensselaer; and three grandchildren, Annika, Ethan and Addison Kelsey. She also leaves her niece, Andrea and her husband, Anthony Barres, and their children, Alexandrea, Anthony and Michael, and a nephew, Richard Mody.
For many years, she enjoyed the love and companionship of her best friend, Jim Jordan.
She was predeceased by her father, Frederick; her cherished sister, Karen Carlson; and her former husband, David Kelsey.
