Juanita Alvey, age 61 of Briggsville, died Sunday, June 15, 2008 at Chambers Memorial Hospital in Danville. She was born April 5, 1947 in Bluffton, Arkansas to the late Wilbert & Thelma Dobbs Spears. She was a mother and homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents, niece Melissa Sherrill and cousin Faye Burnett.
Survivors include husband, Anthony Alvey, Jr.; sons and daughters-in-law, Andy Phipps of Briggsville, Kendal & Betty Phipps of Casa, Anthony & Pauline Alvey III of Warren, Ohio, Thurmon Todd Alvey of Briggsville; brother and sister-in-law, Thurmon & Brenda Spears of Danville; sisters & brothers-in-law, Mary Fowler of Plainview, Diane & Gary Nelms of Danville, Carolyn & William Smith of Danville and eight grandchildren.
Graveside service will be at 10:00 a. m. Friday, June 20, 2008 at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Briggsville with Rev. Lacey Minnie officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday at noon to 3:30 p. m. and Thursday 9:00 a. m. to 3:30 p. m.
