While Emil was born Peter Emil Sandberg, he always went by the nickname "Emil". He passed away at the home of his brother in this village last week, Tuesday;,was boran in Scott County, four miles from Shakopee on the old Sandberg Homestead. He came here with his brother, Charles two years ago last September and since then made his home here. His death was due to apoplexy. During the past few years he had been a sufferer from a paralytic stroke received some years ago leaving him in an almost helpless condition. He had attained the age of 36 years and 4 months at the time of death. The funeral, which was private, took place last week Tuesday afternoon and the remains were interred in Mount Hope Cemetery.
He is survived by two brothers, Charles of this village and Edward of Melrose, Minn; three sisters, Mrs. Hilma Burlingame, Mrs. Marie Brownlee and Mrs. Ada Bishop all of St. Paul- Carver Journal Review.
