Mildred Boone, 68 of the Rebels Creek Community, Bakersville, died Sunday, Nov. 23,2003, at her home. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Hattie Gurley Greene. She was preceded in death by two sons, Scott and Mark Boone; a sister Faye Hughes; and two brothers, Jack and Ray Greene. Mrs Boone was a member of Rebels Creek Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband Homer Boone, daughter, Cindy Woody of Bakersville; sons, David and Tim Boone, both of Bakersville; sister, Mae Willis of Spruce Pine; brothers, Charles and Bobby Greene, both of Ellenboro, and five Grandchildren.

The funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Rebels Creek Baptist Church. The Rev. Wallace Wise will officiate. Burial will be at the Rebels Creek Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from noon until the service hour at the church.

Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Mitchell County, P.O. 38 of Spruce Pine NC 28777. Concolences may be mailed to the family at www.webbfh.com. Webb Funeral Home, Spruce Pine is in charge of the arrangements.
