Mildred Kathleen 'Kitty' Taylor Haddon, 86, of Abbeville, wife of the late Bonner Rayford Haddon, died Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at the Abbeville Nursing Home.

She was born in Oconee County to the late William L. and Ethel Hall Taylor.

Mrs. Haddon was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed working around the family farm and helping others. She drove a school bus for the Abbeville County School District for many years. Mrs. Haddon was a long time member of Beulah Baptist Church in Abbeville where she served in many different areas of the church. She served as the music director for many years, VBS Director, a Sunday School teacher and was a member of the Willie Miller Sunday School Class.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by two brothers, William Harold Taylor and Morris Taylor and two sisters, Cordelia Schoen and Ophleia Pitts.

Surviving Mrs. Haddon are her daughter, Bonnie Cann and her husband Steve of Abbeville, SC; four sons, Eugene Haddon and his wife Joyce of San Antonio, TX, Leroy Haddon and his wife Robbie of Abbeville, George Haddon and his wife Terry of Abbeville and Lyn Haddon and his wife Tammy of Lake Charles, LA; a brother, Furman E. Taylor of Abbeville; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6:00PM to 8:00PM on Thursday, November 20, 2014. Funeral services will be 1:00PM on Friday, November 21, 2014 at Beulah Baptist Church with the Rev. James Bannister and Rev. Dave Garrick officiating. Burial will follow in Ebenezer United Methodist Church Cemetery.
The family is at the home place.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions, in memory of Mrs. Haddon, may be sent to the Beulah Baptist Church Building Fund, 2066 Hwy. 72 E, Abbeville, SC 29620.
